My Birhtday week

It is been a long party.
First I went to Patty and Kervin's wedding in Mexico which I was one of the brides maides.
In Mexico I had a lot Tequila...Jesus... a lot!
On wednesday I took a break from drinking, but on thursday I brought 10 bottles of Jack Daniels and did my birthday photo shoot with Ana Paula.

Yeah I did drink one of the bottles all by myself.

Joe came get me, but I wouldn't go home, so he left me there and I starting calling late to my friends in Brazil until I passed out on Ana's sofa.
Sorry my dear friends for my crazy calls, I was just happy and excited to talk to you.
Give me some portuguese please! That kind thing!
Next day around 4 pm , Jojo came get us to go to the Mystery video premiere in San Diego.
So cool!
It was great to party afterwords at the Saloon with my old friend Lee Dupont, Chad, Shane, good times!
On saturday, I almost didn't make to my bbq at Lucy's new house, I felt like shit, but nothing like some shots to cure that...ahah
So we party it up from 3pm until 3 am... so good ...brazilian style all the way!

I just say that I drink more than I should or could this past week. So now I been drinking just a lot of heatly and nice juices from Trade Joes and I won't sip alcoohol for at least a month. I wanna feel heatly and energetic for my new age. And I swear I will look and feel better than ever! Now my blog with be full of skateboarding and working out shots...really? I will try.
I was partying up in Brazil because I was in vacation, I was celebrating my friends wedding with tequila in Mexico , partying hard on my birthday , but now I'm done with celebrating at least until 4th of July. And still I will moderate it! This is my new resolution for this new age! I promisse it! Good bye Jack!

Liza and Derick, Sepultura's lead singer... OMG! Damn! I was stocked! I know , I'm a big fan of this band since I was 11 year old.

We went to a DVS art show on monday, it was super cool, like a reunion of many friends and people I haven't see in ages.
I was super happy to see my friend Kichi a crazy heavy metal asian that always have a special place in my heart. So funny and sweet. But he always look bad ass tho.
Other caracter taht I was happy to see again was Taroba with his classic sun glasses.
I saw Bolota from Tribo magazine, Marcos Cruz vert skater, Rangel from sk8.com.br, Jorge, Pois e, Lupa, Lance e a Alessandra e the most special to see: Cecilia Mae.

Cecilia is a old friend of mine that for sure thought me a lot things in life. Always very supportive and fun to hang out with. Any one who get to meet this amazing woman is a lucky person.

After gazilion year without seen our dear friend Giulian she came visit us in Sao Paulo, so we once again got a room at Formula One hotel just to enjoy ourselves and have our girly updates.
Giu brought us about 3 big photo albuns to keep us on the loop of her new life style.
Nowadays, Giu has 4 cats and 2 dogs, works in her mom's flower store and date a hot boy , Anderson.
She is very happy and we were so happy to see her doing well.
After we walked on Paulista Ave for some arts shopping we got japanese dinner, after that we went to the mall check out shoes and we eat the most delicious cakes on the earth from Amor aos Pedacos. Unforgetable!
Then we went shop for shampoo and emdicine in freaking 3 different pharmacies. Ana Paula and Giu are nutts shopping. But is was fun, too bad I was under the weather.

Next day we went buy a bunch of brazilian uderwear ( hot stuff) and rock'n roll t-shirts.
I got Metalica, ACDC, Iron maiden, Gun's and Roses, Sonic Youth, Misfts , Danzing, and a bunch other ones... so fun shopping with Giu, we haven't don't this in so long. Unfortunally she had to leave us early that day and go back to Salto.
We miss you Giu.

Saturday, beautiful sunny day, my suster Sueli took us to this place called Samba bar on Vila Madalena for luch. It was so good and had so much classic samba art, besides teh flags of many samba schools such as Portela, manguera and others.
So much fun. i don't know how to samba, but people said that I was a very good entertainer dancing with the samba group.

Ana Paula, Luciana and I have been talking this tattoo a long time...but we kept posponding it...With Tati in Brazil we were up to no good, we always wanna do some crazy shit, so we went visit my tatto artist Fabio Tattoo and got it done! Now Luciana must get hers! I wish she was in this trip I thought so much of her and I really wish she was there.
Tati has 10 years of C.I.O magazine and skateboarding so she is more than qualify for the tattoo. We love you Tati!

I tell you what, this tattoo fucking hurts, it reallly does... I almost endedup with a dot tattoo, i wanna give up...but Fabio holded my leg not letting me go anywhere...funny dude.

The girls left, Ana Paula and i stay in Brasil for another week and half to enjoy our family and friends.
So on wednesday of that week we had a get together at Sueli's house...we had foundu, wine and of course RUCA.
My sister's friend Celia came over. She is a very funny woman, you should seen her impressions of Emo guys. So sweet.
Ale Viana came hang out a bit and took us to the FUN HOUSE a rock'n roll place on Bela Cintra.
It was fun and we partied there until breakfeast time.

Araraquara is a small town 3 hours away from Sao Paulo, very cute old and country and with a big heart to welcome us with a lot love and respect. The public that showed up was very nice and the organizers of the event from Nautico gave a us a great hotel and great resort to hang out.
Everybody was happy with the trip and we totaly enjoy ourselves skating, swiming and playing volley ball.

Ana Paula is from Ribeirao Preto a town close to Araraquara, some people there is very pround of her work with skateboarding, so they honored her with a silver plaque .

Back in Sao Paulo, Vanessa, Violet and Chris had to catch a plan back home that nite. Chris went hang out and chill at the hotel while the girls went with me to my sisters house for dinner and some Ruca time!

After the dinner we had to say good bye to the girls, but I will meet her up in L.A shortly. Love you Bitchesssssss!

PRIZES FOR THE PLASMA SKATEPARK EVENT

Plasma skatepark in Sao Paulo welcome us with a local contest and a public if about 300 people.
The event was great with a best trick contest.
Karen Feitosa won the best trick with a beautiful and tall Nollie Heelflip.

I can't believe how Karen Feitosa now is this big girl. Anyway she is always gonna be a sweet babe girl!

Maze was trowing a party for the video premiere of Anti Horario, a video with great skaters from Sao Paulo with a lot hard core style going down gnarly rails, stairs many crazy spots. The video was very impressive and we were invited to be part of this great event as well showing our C.I.O Mag video trailer.
At this party I got to see a lot young skaters that now are so growed up...When I left Brasil they were like 9, 10 , 12 years old, now they keep skating are dating looking good and have they life together... Damn I'm getting old... I guess life goes by not only for us buit for the kids too. Hahahah

Also I saw a lot of my friends and pro skaters as Roger Mancha, Garbi, Fabiano Lokinho, Rogerinho and many others..It was a great gathering. Latter on we wwnt to a great restaurant casa da Pizza with 100%'s mag editor Alexandre Viana and Persio from maze to celebrate the success of the event. From there we went to Milo, the underground club that we possible got gold membership by going there so many nights.

After 3 days hanging around at the hotel bars, and eating a lot coxinha ( chicken balls -as Sophie call them)...we finally went to our first skate spot. We pretty much watched the brazilian girls skating and hang with them for couple hours before we went to party again.

Those girls from Goianina ( 12 hours bus drive) came to Sao Paulo just to see the tour and enter the skate contest. Sweet!

LIZA IN BRAZIL WITH POISEDON AND CHECK IT OUT TOUR - week 1 / PART 2

Sophie's last night in Brasil hanging out with me, my sister Sueli and Ana Paula and Sky Bar

After spend some time with the family on my first day in Brasil I was ready to check in at Fomula hotel with Ana Paula, Vanessa Torres, Micaela Ramires, Violet Kimble, Sophie Pope, Alisson Matassi and Chris Brendsen ( the only guy allowed on the girls tour, our dear filmer).
Unfortunaly, as soon the girls got in Brasil, Alisson Nugget had problems with her visa and couldn't get in on the country that night, she had to go back to Peru on the next plan at 6am of the next day and get a new visa, but no one from Taca airlines took care of her enough to make sure that she would board in time, after so many hours traveling she got some sleep and missed the plan, so she had to be stuck by herself on the braszilian airport for 48 hours.
Out of the bet, the tour in Brasil started with a lot of tention. We tried get Alisson in Brazil in many ways, we even sent a fax to the Federal Police in Brazilia 9 where the president Lula stays) but we didn't get the help needed.
Somebody told her that she didn't need a visa, and now she was stuck on the brazilian gates. Anyways, after couple days trying to work on this situation, Sophie decieded to leave to meet with Alisson and go home.
The tour of 4 pro skt girls now had only two.
It was sad, frustrating to all of us, but still we tried to enjoy and make our best to keep the tour and events going.

After all the trouble with airport and all I still had to show Vanessa and Violet around and we meet up with my old friend PoisEh and went to this bar called Vegas on Rua Augusta. After that we went to a crazy after hours club called Love Story where girls don't pay for drinks and the night ended 9 in the morning.

This is not the best place in SP to go out, but when you have no other option 4am and you want more drinks and they are free, this place can be the best in the world. Fucking funny!

Sao Paulo's overview from Unique Hotel / Sky Bar

I know it is been while I haven't post anything in here. But this time I have so many photos and good memories to share with you guys that I will make it up to you. I went to Brazil for the past 2 weeks in a half and I had a a such wonderful time. I did skate and party a lot while I was there, I always party a lot anyway..but this was something else...I feel like I been in a crazy retreat... I had to relearn how to party. In Brazil people get togheter to go out at 12am, when they don't pick u up at 1am as my friend Tati, many times I almost gave up on waiting for her...but it was always wort it! We always go to breakfast straight from the clubs...Insane, I forgot how good it was...I want more!

I went to Brazil, to meet up with the girls from Poseidon tour they left USA on May 1st, they went to Argentina, Chile and Brasil doing demos and skate clinics and promoting Check It Out magazine. It was so cool, when I got in Brasil a day before they did and I already heard about all the brazilian girls so excieted for having us around.

On my first day there I pretty much made reservations at Formula One Hotel and hanged out with my sisters Cris and Sueli, my brother Fabinho and his wife Eliana and my friends Tati and Evelyn having amazing brazilian food and learning belly dance with my sister Sueli.

Last week Joe, Louisa nad I headed to Las Vegas for the United Trade Show, where Check It Out magazine got a booth.

As well we went to Magic Trade show, played a little bit at the casinos and party a lot until 6am every night.
First party hosted by Kangol, Vapor and United at the TAO, amazing club.. we had a great time with dear Marcela, Steve Aoki and Danny Masterson.
Guess what? Michael Jackson was on the building as well! I missed see him, but yet he was dinning at the club's restaurant.

We did party with Bambam and Miki as well.

On January 25th-27th I was in San Diego for our Agenda trade show and ASR trade show.
It mixed a lot of hard work and fun together!
It was cool to see how the Stereo booth turned out and the good response on sales we had.

I know , I know... it's been a while since I posted my last blog...
But I'm a busy business/ party woman.. what can I say?

Even though I'm infront of my computer all day working on Stereo and C.I.O magazine.
Anyways let's talk about the cool stuff that happens on the past month and weeks.

January 13th.

We went to the Pool party in silverlake, celevrate the cover of Flaunt Magazine with Johny Cash and a great fashion show..
we got there too late for the fashion show..but the party was good!

Joe's cousing from Philadelphia, Anna came visit us and we took her and boy friend to meet Cinespace and Burgundy Room

On January 17th we went to the BPM/Myspace party at the Element club and we got to meet and hang out with the fasion designers Jeff and Santino from the show Project Run Way. They are so fun!

January 20th

Ana Paula finally came back home from her vacation in Brazil and we went party with Annie and Jessie at Bonnie's house celebrating Bonie's Birthday.

This Week in Hollywood

Last sarturday I went out with Patiane to a party in downton.
As soon we got there we decided to leave because of the long line on the door.
It was almost 1am already. So we decided to go to Beauty Bar on Cahuenga St.
there we meet some cool people from sweden and went to a after party on the hills.
Nice house amazing lady Anna welcomed us to her place with some amazing wine.
About 3am we drove back to Patiane house where i spent the nite since my hub Joe had to work in a photo shoot 5am.
Next day we had a big breakfast and start to play fashion designers. We were too bad we made two really cute outfits and now we want to do a whole line with Patiane's new sewing machine. I want a sewing machine too!

We meet up with Vania and Fredich and Hampus at L.A.X, Banana Split nite where we went to dance Steve Aoki's tunes.
Lindsay Lohan, Eve and some girl from taht show OC were there.
The paparazzi are starting coming there on sunday a lot now.
That place is so cool on sundays and uncool on saturday's when you can bararely movie.
I hope the press aren't ruin it for us by bring a lot people that don't belong to the Dim Mak scene.
Anyways, I got to meet a sweet girl Stephanie from L.A.com that was there covering a stopry about the Hot L.A. Nights.
She shot some photos of me and friends and I got to promote my magazine and my new dress on it. haha...so did Patiane at Cobra's and Ronnie's booth.

Monday morning...it was though to get up and go to work...but I'm glad that I did go, because Stereo had a PDF preview of catalog to share with our clients.

On tuesday we went to a awesome WESC fashion show. They had a bbq and the chicken was lovely!

I didn't go to cinespace this tuesday. I have gone to cinespace this year yet!
I love love Cinespace on tuesdays and I'm looking forward to go next week.

On wednesday I had a very productive day at the Agency booking meetings for the Agenda trade show and pre booking orders. Also working with Mr. Pastras can be sooooo fun. He is goofy and make us laugh to destress out of his busy schedule. Meanwhile Courtney was being the biggest brat on earth, throwing shit on us and being so silly, I almost grounded her.

Thursday the pros turned to bros! Yeah , Chris, Kevin, Ray Barbie and some other dudes went to the Big Bear for a WESC sales meeting full of snowboarding time, while Courtney and I were left behide on the Agency . Who cares I hate snow!

Friday, it is a slow day...I got some orders in for week. But we are so tired and it so cold at the office...We ordered brazilian food from Bossa Nova for lunch, dalish!, and now we are counting the minutes until 5:30pm to go home and relax under the covers.

I don't think I'm going out tonite,it is too cold, but I will keep you posted of what happens..

The Holiday Season is over but the New Year just began!

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as I did.
I went to Chicago visit my husband's folks and it was great.
The Grzeskowiak's are good catholic people with a big heart and warm house for the Narperville weather.

After 10 days of vacation, I got back in L.A. just before NYE.
We went party at Steve Berra's warehouse in downtown L.A, it was wild!

My little sister sent some brand new pics of herself. So cute, I missed not being back home (Brazil) this holiday, but I will be there next Christmas...

Tuesday morning I was back to the Agency. Working at Stereo Sound Agency is being fun and I know it is going to be a great year for the brand that is celebrating 15 years anniversary.

We have a lot cool things line up for 2007 starting with the Agenda Trade Show in San Diego, january 25th - 27th.
I'm looking forward for the business at the trade show but as well for the parties. It is always good to see so many people that i don't see so often, but at ASR- Agenda trade show time.

You must to be thinking right now... "What about C.I.O magazine?" Uh, what can I say... I guess you all will have to wait untill february to hear about our newest issue and upcoming tours and events.

By the way Ana Paula is in Brazil right now shooting some photos with Louise from Europe, Luciana is setting up some photo shoots as well and Bernadeath supouse to drop some pics in our FTP server this week. Chris Bredsen is being filming some skate footage with Patiane Freitas, Monica Messias, Stefanie Thomas and other skate girls down to film.
Oh Yeah, Brian Fick is our new adition to the magazine. Brian was a SG magazine photographer and now is going to be collaboarting with us. Welcome a board Brian!

As I was saying it was a great holiday season, great year, but as Sinatra used to say "The Best Is Yet to Come!"
